2006

October  Halloween is my favorite Holiday.  I love the carved pumpkins.
This year only Will and Nate were able to come to the "Pumpkin Carving Party".

Chris and Venessa moved from their house in the country to the city.  So Mighty Mouse gets to live at Grandma Susan's.

Nate was 4 when Mighty became his horse.

At four, Mighty was bigger then Nate, so Nate could ride him.  At nine, Nate is to big to ride Mighty. Grandma Susan hopes to get a cart, and for Mighty's continuing education project, he will learn to pull Nate in the cart.

June        Chris and Venessa were married.

Kids and Animals.

Flowers and baby frog hunting.

The under-gravel filter, in the upper bog pond, has clarified the water.

The Butterfly Bush is blooming.

The sculpture "Gray Curves" is acquiring a patina of moss.
It was carved by Jeff Powell, a Santa Cruz Mountains resident.

Water Lily Blooms

May Anna and her two sisters spent a week visiting the farm.  They held baby mice, petted the goose, and picked the flowers.

February     For Anna's sixth birthday, Corey took her to Disneyland for the first time.    It was a picture perfect day, and as perfect as could be.

January    When Anna comes down for a visit she likes to play with the garden snails.  Being a fan of Sponge Bob Square Pants, she calls all her snails Gary.  She goes to the garden to find some, puts them in a pan filled with green stuff and has a fine time playing with them.  Occasionally I save pieces of glass because I like the shape of them.  Later I will return to them to see what they become.
These pieces of sky blue became "Gary the Snail".
